Bodegas Campo Viejo is one of the most prominent brands of Pernod Ricard Bodegas, one of the most important and internationally renowned wine empires in Spain, with a presence in more than 70 countries worldwide. The spectacular architecture of Bodegas Campo Viejo and the efficiency of its modern winemaking process place Campo Viejo at the forefront of the new wine culture.
Its new facilities were inaugurated in 2001 (replacing the old winery dating back to 1967), designed by architect Ignacio Quemada Sáenz-Badillos, a disciple of Rafael Moneo. A subterranean masterpiece (more than 20 meters underground), providing ideal conditions for wine aging.
At Bodegas Campo Viejo, three major brands of the Pernod Ricard group are produced: Campo Viejo, Azpilicueta, and Alcorta, under the guidance of renowned enóloga Elena Adell.
