Bodegas Bocopa was founded in 1987 and has since become a benchmark in Alicante, representing more than 50% of the total wine production in this province. Bodegas Bocopa is made up of over 250 vine-growing members (it is a second-degree cooperative), with 5 wineries in the area and more than 1,000 hectares of its own vineyards.
Gaspar Tomás, managing director and winemaker of Bodegas Bocopa, states: “Above all, Bocopa's commitment since its establishment has been to build a future for Alicante's viticulture, increasing the value of its harvest and striving to improve the income of vine growers through its wines.” To achieve its goal, this winery has spread its name across the entire Spanish geography, offering a wide selection of wines and brands: whites, reds, rosés, sparkling wines, monastrell liqueurs, moscatel, and fondillón, the most traditional of Alicante.
