Bodegas Barrialba

Miguel Ángel Gala established a winery in Venta de Baños (Palencia) on the grounds of a former Marist seminary. Bodegas Barrialba is a true passion project dedicated to crafting meticulously cared-for and hedonistic red wines. Barrialba is the latest winery to join the dream of producing wine in a unique location, in Venta de Baños (being the first to settle in this municipality), in the Cerrato region of Palencia. Their first wines were crafted by Ladrero and Venancio Aragón and aged in the modern winery of Venta de Baños. Under the oenological guidance of Ignacio de Miguel, the character of Barrialba’s wines is the result of three years of patient experimentation and the contribution of expressive varieties such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. Their first vintage was 2005, which was released under the label Señorío de Cámara 2005. Barrialba Vendimia Seleccionada is the winery’s youngest project.
