Bodegas Amaren

Amaren, "the wine of the mother," was first produced in 1995 to honor the mother of Juan Luis Cañas, a tireless worker in the vineyard and the family winery. Until 2009, it was the best wine of Bodegas Luis Cañas, and from that year onwards, it gained its own facilities in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, an ideal setting for its Tempranillo vines, aged between 30 and 60 years, to give their best.

Bodegas Amaren boasts the most modern technology in the service of quality. It is worth noting that Amaren Reserva (now called Amaren Tempranillo Reserva) is recognized as one of the best wines currently produced in Rioja and has been awarded stellar scores by the world's most prestigious media. In addition to its flagship wine, Amaren also produces a barrel-fermented white, a coupage of Tempranillo and Graciano, and an exceptional single-varietal Graciano from the oldest vines of the winery.
