Bodega Val Azul

Led by Eva Rodríguez, Val Azul is a small family winery that produces wine from the 9 hectares of vineyards surrounding it. The goal and philosophy are to craft high-quality wines with their own personality, defined by the climatic characteristics and peculiarities of the terrain, as well as by a natural winemaking process that avoids additives to preserve this personality.

The winery Señorío de Val Azul (D.O. Vinos de Madrid) is located in the Arganda subzone, which covers the southeastern area of the Community, known as the plains of the Tagus Valley. This area, a wine-producing region since the 13th century, is situated at an altitude of 750 m. Its climate is Mediterranean with continental influences, and the terrain is characterized by large plateaus, one of them being Chinchón, flanked by the Jarama and Tagus rivers. Here lies the winery's vineyard, planted in the year 2000 with syrah, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and tempranillo varieties.

Its first wine was launched on the market in 2005 as the result of a family tradition spanning several generations combined with the ideal characteristics of the terrain for vine development. Year after year, the winery continues to improve its creations, as evidenced by numerous awards and recognitions.
