Bodega Rejadorada

Bodega Rejadorada began its activity with the 1999 harvest in the Toro winery, located in a 15th-century palace. In 2003, the winery in San Román de Hornija (Valladolid) was built, equipped with the most modern facilities and equipment for production, aging, and bottling. The winery is located in a historic 15th-century building. Its name originates from a story dating back to the late 15th century, during the civil war between Isabel la Católica and Juana la Beltraneja. A group of conspirators loyal to Isabel la Católica were betrayed and executed. One of the rebels was condemned to remain locked behind the bars of her house. When the Catholic Monarchs won the conflict, in honor of the loyalty of the woman behind the bars, they ordered the bars to be gilded, where she would live for the rest of her days. The golden bars symbolize the loyalty to traditional winemaking methods, followed by this winery, and the love for well-crafted things.
