Kavaklıdere Wines is recognized as the first private winery in Turkey, since it was founded in 1929 by Cenap And, in the Kavaklıdere district of Ankara, from which it takes its name. Since 1987, due to the company's expansion, the society has had a new production facility in nearby Akyurt. There, in addition to researching and developing forgotten native grape varieties from Anatolia, they also cultivate international grape varieties with perfect adaptation.
