The entrepreneur Marcial Gómez-Sequeira, a renowned national doctor, established a winemaking initiative in 1987 in an area where vineyards had never been planted before. To take charge of the winemaking at Dehesa del Carrizal, he relied on Ignacio de Miguel, who had learned from the best international oenological specialists under the guidance of Carlos Falcó. 34 years later, the Villar-Mir family, the current owners of the company, confirm Gómez-Sequeira's vision, which opened the way for a long list of entrepreneurs passionate about these lands so well-suited for viticulture.
