Bodega Cooperativa Cristo del Humilladero

In 1965, as a result of the efforts of the winegrowers from Cadalso de los Vidrios, the Bodega Cooperativa Cristo del Humilladero was founded, an entity that currently brings together 120 members and produces quality wines under the D.O. Vinos de Madrid.

The cooperative encompasses a vineyard area of 955 hectares distributed across scattered plots, with granitic soils, in valleys and slopes, at an altitude ranging from 600 to 1,200 meters above sea level. The predominant variety cultivated is garnacha from old vines, the queen grape of the Madrid side of the Sierra de Gredos, although the winery also produces albillo, syrah, merlot, and tempranillo.

Vintage after vintage, the wines of Bodega Cooperativa Cristo del Humilladero, characterized by minimal intervention in their production and a fruity and mineral profile, continue to receive recognition and increasingly better ratings, leading to their commercialization in countries such as the United States, Finland, and Japan.
