Azienda Vinicola Follador

Azienda Vinicola Follador, located in the heart of the Valdobbiadene region in Veneto, Italy, traces its roots back to 1769, when Giovanni Follador received the prestigious recognition from Dux Alvise IV Mocenigo for the quality of his wines. Since then, nine generations of the Follador family have kept the winemaking tradition alive, combining ancestral techniques with modern innovations to produce high-quality prosecco.

The winery is currently managed by Gianfranco Follador and his wife Italia, who continue the family tradition of excellence in sparkling wine production.

Follador's vineyards are located in Col San Martino, in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region, an area recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The terroir is characterized by a temperate climate and a unique mineral composition of the soil, which contribute to the elegance and complexity of their wines.

The predominant variety used in the production of their proseccos is glera, cultivated exclusively in the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene.

Follador is a technologically pioneering company in the sector. It was the first winery in Valdobbiadene to experiment with the Krios system, which reduces the temperature of the grapes immediately after crushing to minimize oxidation. Subsequently, cryomaceration is carried out to enhance the organoleptic properties of the grape skins. Fermentation takes place in autoclaves using the Charmat method with selected yeasts.
