Ayala

Founded in 1860 by Edmond de Ayala, Champagne Ayala is one of the oldest and most historic champagne houses, which, after more than a century and a half of history, continues to maintain a small size and the family spirit of its origins. This small winery produces high-quality champagnes that are exported worldwide and has excellent vineyards in Aÿ, in the heart of the great champagne vineyards.

Ayala owed much of its rapid expansion to Fernand de Ayala, Edmond's younger brother, who in 1863 settled in London, introducing this brand to the British market. The 1920s were a remarkable golden age for this house, which produced more than a million bottles each year and managed to rank among the best Champagne houses. Ayala was also an official supplier to the royal courts of England and Spain.

In 2005, the Bollinger family purchased this beautiful property with the intention of restoring it to its former glory. Thus began a new and successful chapter, which included the restoration of the facilities and the arrival of new personnel.
