The Moueix family originates from Corrèze, in the center of France, but their dedication and passion for the world of wine led them to Bordeaux, where in 1902 they founded the Antoine Moueix company. Since then, and without pause until today, the philosophy of the firm has been the acquisition of new Bordeaux vineyards—the latest being an additional twelve hectares acquired in 2003 on the right bank of the Dordogne—where they apply rigorous control.
