Adega Condes de Albarei

Adega Condes de Albarei

Adega Condes de Albarei is one of the largest wineries with the most estate-owned vineyards in the D.O. Rías Baixas. Founded in 1988 in Cambados, the capital of the Salnés Valley, it is the result of the union of a group of winegrowers from this region, considered the birthplace of the D.O. Rías Baixas and its native and predominant variety, albariño.

The gold medal won by Condes de Albarei in 1991 at the Challenge International du Vin in Bordeaux (the first ever achieved by a Spanish white wine) marked the winery's international breakthrough, bringing its albariños to different countries such as Germany, England, the United States, and Japan.

Currently, Condes de Albarei produces high-quality albariños from its 300 hectares of vineyards and boasts modern facilities equipped with the latest technology. The same group also owns the Pazo Baión winery, also within the D.O. Rías Baixas.
