Climate
Mediterranean-type climate in the region of El Camp, with cold winters and average rainfall around 500 mm annually. In the Ribera area, the climate is more extreme, with cold winters, hot summers, and less abundant rainfall.
Soil
In the area of El Camp, the soils are calcareous and light, poor in organic matter. In the Ribera d'Ebre, they are calcareous but mixed with stony soils and alluvial lands.
