Gran Canaria
The production area extends throughout the island, except for the Protected Landscape of Tafira, which belongs to a different D.O. (D.O. Monte de Lentiscal).
Climate
With different microclimates depending on the altitude of the vineyard. Generally, influenced by the trade winds (coming from the east), subtropical climate (characteristic of the entire archipelago) with mild temperatures throughout the year and an average annual rainfall of around 500 mm.
Soil
Volcanic ash soils with a clay base. There are many types of soils, depending on where the vineyard is planted, either near the coast or at higher elevations (up to 1,500 meters).
