Víctor Manuel Fernández Bueno

After completing university with the Academic Excellence Award granted by the institution, he carried out the mandatory internships of his studies and his final degree project at Pago de Carraovejas, where he also worked during the following two campaigns. At that time, he began his direct connection with the city of Valladolid and, above all, with Ribera del Duero and its wines. In 2014, he was awarded as the best young winemaker at Vinouvelle, a wine competition for young winemakers and sommeliers, in Villena (Alicante). In January 2015, he settled in the city of Valladolid and began working and developing his professional career as a winemaker in Ribera del Duero, at Bodegas y Viñedos Lleiroso, which greatly excited him as it is a small, family-run winery focused on producing high-quality wines, wines of great expression, and distinguished wines with their own personality. In 2019, with the incorporation of Bodegas Lleiroso into Grupo Bornos Bodegas y Viñedos, Víctor took charge of winemaking at Orot, a winery belonging to Grupo Bornos located in the Toro Designation of Origin, where the wines produced are also gaining significant recognition in the wine industry.
