Professional career
While studying in Tarragona, he worked for several months in the research department of Familia Torres, in Pacs del Penedès. He was an oenologist and quality management manager at Mar de Frades for more than 4 years, until he rejoined Familia Torres in 2017 to lead the viticulture project in Galicia.

Training
Originally from Xeve, in Pontevedra, Víctor Cortizo studied Chemical Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela and Oenology at the Rovira i Virgili University in Tarragona. He completed his training in viticulture and oenology at the University of Teramo (Italy).
