The winery traces its origins back to the year 2005. It was at that moment that the winemaking journey of Bodegas Calar began, in the Campo de Calatrava, at the Montanchuelos estate, whose past has been linked to vine cultivation for centuries. The alliance between carefully tended, low-yield vineyards, meticulous winemaking, and the restrained use of the highest quality wood has been the foundation of the philosophy that has led this winery to bring its two wines to market to date: Calar del Río Mundo and Ábrego.
