Ricardo Pérez Palacios is the son of Chelo Palacios, from the renowned Rioja family of the Palacios (Remondo), and the accomplished nephew of Álvaro Palacios, celebrated for his wines in Priorat. In the late 1990s, he joined his uncle Álvaro Palacios in the Descendientes de J. Palacios project, a winery highly responsible for the qualitative leap experienced by the D.O. Bierzo.
Ricardo Pérez is a follower of biodynamic practices, whose teachings he applies in the vineyards of Descendientes de J. Palacios.
