Professional career

Miravinos is a company founded in 2012 by wine and gastronomy journalist and writer Víctor Rodríguez and winemaker José Carlos García. A project developed in strategic areas, focusing on native grape varieties to produce wines that respect their origins: tempranillo in Rioja Alta, tinto fino in the Ribera burgalesa, garnacha in Aragón, and albariño in Rías Baixas.

Víctor Rodríguez (Vigo, 1958) has over 30 years of experience in the wine sector across various fields: communication and marketing, winemaking, commercialization, etc. He was part of the creation of the importer Aviva Vino and also co-founded several wineries: Bodegas Naia (Rueda), Mano a Mano (Castilla-La Mancha), Viñas del Cénit (Tierra del Vino de Zamora), and Cellers Can Blau (Montsant). Additionally, he is a winemaking consultant for firms such as Dominio de Atauta (Ribera del Duero) and Bodegas Óbalo (Rioja).

José Carlos García (Jerez, 1973) holds a degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Cádiz. His winemaking background spans various regions of the country: Navarras (Bodegas Príncipe de Viana), the Hispanobodegas group, with references in Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, Navarra, and La Mancha. From 2008 to 2011, he was operations director at Avanteselecta.

Since 2014, journalist Ángeles Pérez Roa has also been a partner at Miravinos.
