Mariano García, Javier Zacagnini, Grupo Nózar y Grupo Masaveu

The winery was born from the initial expansion of the family group of wineries led by Mariano García (Bodegas Mauro), who founded Aalto in partnership with Javier Zacagnini. Later, the business groups of the Masaveu families (Fillaboa, Murúa, Pagos de Aráiz) and Nozaleda (Enate) joined the company, each acquiring 40% of the shares. Aalto produces a range of only two wines under the direction of Mariano García and manages 70 hectares of vineyards, both owned and controlled. Its facilities were inaugurated in 2006, the same year the Nózar and Masaveu groups became shareholders.
