"Since I was a child, I could see all the passion my nonno put into his own wine production, a few bottles for family consumption, on his farm in the south of Chile. Without realizing it, I followed in his footsteps, and today I try to bring that same passion to the wines I make."
Professional career
He began his professional career as an assistant at Viña Santa Emiliana, in Maipú, Chile. He completed harvest internships in California for the Kendall Jackson company and became the winemaker for Calima, the winery of this same American company in Chile's Maule Valley, between 1995 and 1998. In 1998, he started working for Concha y Toro and took on the role of winemaking director for Casillero del Diablo. Subsequently, he has undertaken internships in Burgundy and Tuscany.
