Professional career
In 1994, he began assisting small wineries in Rías Baixas, and in 1995, he became part of the Tasting Committee of the Rías Baixas Regulatory Council. After a short stay at the Pazo de Vilallei winery, he started working for the Santiago Ruiz winery in 1999, becoming head winemaker in 2007.

Training
Born in Vigo (Pontevedra) in 1958. She graduated in Biology from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 1981. Afterwards, she worked in the soft drink industry for several years. In 1991, she furthered her studies with a degree from the University of Vigo, becoming part of the microbiology research department, where her connection with wine began. At that time, she co-authored various publications. She was one of the founding members of the "Jóvenes Amigos de la Asociación Vino" in Galicia.
