Judit Sabaté Garrido began her studies in oenology at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, where she graduated in Oenology and Viticulture, earning the Premi Jaume Ciurana of her graduating class based on her academic and professional record as well as the presentation of a project.
After several harvests combining her studies with work in wineries such as Gramona, in 2018 she joined the oenological team of Cellers de Scala Dei, where she was part of the team for 3 years. During her time at Cellers de Scala Dei, in 2020, she decided to travel to South Australia, in Barossa Valley, to experience a harvest and to observe and understand New World oenology firsthand. After almost a year back from Australia to Cellers de Scala Dei, she had the opportunity to join one of the oenological research groups at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili, where she worked on several projects in collaboration with different companies in the sector. Finally, she joined the team at Portal del Montsant as an oenologist.
