At first, what I like is making easy-to-drink wines, respecting the fruit a lot, seeking smoothness and elegance. I try to showcase the characteristics of the vintage, of each ‘terroir’… All of this while focusing on vineyard work, so that later in the winery, I can be as non-interventionist as possible.
Professional career
-Experience in harvests at various wineries in Spain (Barón de Ley, Solabal, Artazu) and Chile (Viña Santa Cruz, Los Aromos, and Errazuriz). -As a winemaker at Viña Caliterra (Chile) from 2012 to 2017. -Since July 2017, technical director at Sommos and Sommos Garnacha.
Bodega Sommos Garnacha (D.O. Calatayud) is part of the wine division of Grupo Costa, which also owns Bodega Sommos (D.O. Somontano).
