"We produce a wide range of wines under the Simonsig label, including whites, reds, sparkling, and sweet wines. Stellenbosch is the main wine region of South Africa, and we remain true to the terroir. The decomposed granite and shale soils produce perfumed wines with good structure."
Professional career
After completing his studies in Viticulture and Oenology at Stellenbosch University, he joined the Simonsig winery and in 1992 founded the Cap Classique Producers Association. Since then to the present day, he has been the head responsible for the production of the wines and decision-making at the winery.
