Professional career

Grupo Bodegas y Viñedos O. Fournier was founded by the Ortega Gil-Fournier family from Burgos in the year 2000. José Manuel Ortega Gil-Fournier (in the photo) is its current president. Born in Burgos in 1968, José Manuel Ortega worked in banking before dedicating himself to his true vocation: the world of winemaking.

José Manuel Ortega began his journey in the year 2000 by founding a small winery in the Argentine province of Mendoza. Two years later, in 2002, he returned to his homeland, Ribera del Duero, where he acquired the Hnos. San Juan López winery to create his brand Bodegas y Viñedos O. Fournier.

Currently, Grupo Bodegas y Viñedos O. Fournier has 3 wineries focused on producing quality wines: one in Mendoza (Argentina), another in Ribera del Duero (Spain), and a third in Maule-San Antonio (Chile).

Bodegas y Viñedos O. Fournier is a renowned global brand. In total, it owns nearly 400 hectares of vineyards, with a high percentage of old vines.
