The winery project began in 1979, when Francisco Uribes and Celia Madero acquired the Calzadilla estate, located in Huete, their hometown, and decided to plant their first vineyard.

Description of their own wines
The wines from Calzadilla are very unique, with vivid and intense colors, fruity and typically mineral due to the influence of the different soils in the area. On the palate, they are structured and persistent, standing out for their balance and finesse. The climate of each year determines the quantity and quality of all their plots, which is why each vintage also reflects its own characteristics. As shown by the latest vintages, Calzadilla works and researches day by day and year after year to improve their wines and provide the customer with pleasant, enjoyable, and high-quality wines.
Professional career
Due to the success of their Calzadilla wines at that time, the Uribes Madero family made the winery their way of life. With genuine enthusiasm, they completed their vineyard and gradually finished the construction of their winery, improving production, aging processes, etc. Currently, there are 20 hectares of vineyards, magnificent winemaking and aging facilities, and a clear philosophy: to produce high-quality wines, in limited production, with the same uniqueness as the location where Pago de Calzadilla is situated.
