Fernando Vegas Arranz represents the second generation of the winemaking lineage started by Avelino Vegas in 1950. Currently, he is the general manager of the Avelino Vegas Group, which comprises three wineries: Avelino Vegas D.O. Rueda, located in Santiuste (Segovia), the family's hometown; Bodegas Fuentespina, located in Fuentespina (Burgos) and part of the D.O. Ribera del Duero; and Avelino Vegas D.O. Ribera del Duero, recently established in Peñafiel (Valladolid).
