Description of their own wines
Among the wines of Frutos Villar, four gems stand out: Conde de Siruela (D.O. Ribera de Duero), Muruve (D.O. Toro), Calderona (D.O. Cigales), and María de Molina (D.O. Rueda). Each one is a unique expression of the winery's winemaking mastery, encapsulating the essence of each DO of Castilla y León in a bottle. Conde de Siruela and its refined elegance; Muruve, embodying the strength and passion of the land; Calderona, a bold rosé, sophisticated and versatile; or María de Molina, as a tribute to the lush nature surrounding the winery's vineyards.
Professional career

For a very long time, the Frutos Villar family has been connected to vineyards and the world of wine, but it was at the beginning of the 20th century when this connection deepened, and they began their business journey by producing and selling wine from the Toro region locally. With that entrepreneurial and pioneering spirit, the family anticipated the creation of appellations of origin and founded their first winery in Toro in 1920. Later, with the same initiative and a drive for progress and innovation, they built another winery in Cigales in 1960.

Later, in 1988, the Frutos Villar family acquired a winery in Ribera del Duero: Bodegas Santa Eulalia. And, in an effort to encompass the various appellations that Castilla y León offers, Bodegas Frutos Villar began marketing wines from the D.O. Rueda in 1990. In this way, the family has been able to produce wines in four of the nine quality regions recognized on the Castilla y León wine map.
