Our personal and professional goal is none other than to convey the great virtues of our native Verdejo variety to as many wine lovers as possible, practicing sustainable agriculture and applying winemaking criteria that respect and enhance the unique characteristics of our land.
Álvarez y Díez was founded in 1941, and in 1977 Enrique de Benito took over its management, carrying out a profound restructuring and constructing the current facilities, equipping them with the most modern winemaking techniques of the time.
In 1992, a new generation of the De Benito family joined the winery, beginning a second phase based on the same business philosophy and initiating a new update and modernization of the company. Juan de Benito is the current Manager-General Director of the winery.
