Description of their own wines
For the production of our wines, we use the Monastrell variety, sourced from vines over 25 years old. We also use the red varieties Tempranillo, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. We produce red, rosé, and sweet wines. Our wines ferment at a controlled temperature of 18 ºC for rosés and 22 ºC for reds during the necessary time to optimize the extraction of aromas and flavors. Depending on the type of wine we are producing, we use our 20,000-kilo and 50,000-kilo self-emptying tanks.
Professional career
Bodegas Guardiola is a family-owned company founded in 1850 by Francisco Guardiola Jiménez. The first winery was located in La Cañada del Judío, an area near Jumilla, where the family cultivated the Monastrell variety for years. The current facilities of the company are the fourth built by the Guardiola family, adapting each time to the era in which they lived. Their history has always been linked to the development, improvement, and modernization of the family winery and its wines.
