David Castillo

Family
David was born in Alfaro, La Rioja, and is the embodiment of the legacy and tradition of Spanish winemaking. For generations, his family has passed down the vineyards from father to son, including through his grandfather and his father, who has been a viticulturist his entire life. David grew up immersed in the culture of wine.
Description of their own wines
I am excited to be part of the discovery and growth of Cariñena. It has such a rich and extensive history that the grape is named after this region (the cariñena variety). Grandes Vinos leads the modern drive that is currently shaking up D.O. Cariñena. This house prioritizes native varieties and gives them a modern concept in their production. I am grateful to be part of this exciting challenge.
