Carla González Chao

Family
The winery was established in the 1990s when Lázaro Moreno and Carla González acquired the property, which is over two centuries old. The cultivation of vines, already deeply rooted in family tradition, became the focus of their professional efforts.

Description of their own wines
Valtea is a very personal and varietal wine, expressing all the power of the land where it is born.
Professional career
For almost a decade, they dedicated themselves exclusively to the cultivation and care of the vineyard until the vines reached the appropriate age for winemaking. In 2002, when the vines reached sufficient maturity, with a minimum age of 25 years, they produced the first harvest of their Albariño Valtea. Although Valtea remains their flagship wine, in recent years they have started exploring new paths: Finca Garabato, an estate wine from old vineyards that is released after a year and a half; and Pedras Rubras, aged on lees, which is released in the third year.
