Professional career
Álvaro Espinoza is one of the most respected winemakers in the Chilean wine industry. His career began at a fast pace, including harvests and work in Bordeaux, France; serving as the chief winemaker at Viña Carmen, where he gained much of his fame with iconic wines such as Carmen Gold and Grande Vidure. He also worked at wineries like Domaine Oriental and provided consultancy in Chile, Argentina, and the United States. In 2007, Álvaro received one of the most coveted awards in the global wine industry; the International Wine Challenge in the United Kingdom recognized him as the "Personality of the Year."
