Since 2006, the saffron flower has stood as the symbol of the wines under the Villány designation of origin. With just 1,890 hectares of cultivated vineyard, the Villány region is the southernmost of the Hungarian vineyards, located near the Croatian border.
Continental with Mediterranean influence, as summers are hot and winters are mild.
