Markopoulo
Since 1993, the P.G.I. Markopoulo recognizes wines made with at least 80% of the white savatiano variety. A geographical area located in the region of Attica, near Athens, to the east of the Hymettus massif.
Climate
Its low altitude, just one hundred meters above sea level, provides a distinctly Mediterranean climate, with high temperatures in summer and mild winters.
Soil
In general, the soils where the vineyards of Markopoulo are located are deep and calcareous in nature.
