The ribolla gialla is a noble white grape variety that grows in Goriška Brda, the Vipava Valley, the Karst, and the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in Italy. Recent research shows that the variety is also cultivated in Greece under the name robola. Among all the ancient domestic varieties in Slovenia, it is probably the most widespread.
Weaknesses
It is a medium vigor variety and prone to chlorosis. It is susceptible to black rot and, due to its high yield potential, to grape mold, being prone to rotting in rainy autumns.
