Vinitaly is the International Wine and Spirits Exhibition that takes place every year in Verona since 1967. It began its journey as a fair for Italian wines; since 1992, it also hosts the International Wine Competition, which awards an average of 90 medals among the 3,600 wines submitted from around 30 countries.

Jury
The jury is composed of a hundred experts. The Jury will be divided into several committees formed by random selection and made up of 2 Italian technicians, one foreign technician, and two international specialized journalists appointed by the Organizing Entity. The evaluation method used is that of the "Union Internationale des Oenologues". The evaluations will be independently expressed by each member of the Committee. Each member of the committee evaluates a maximum of 50 samples per day, divided into four different sessions, two of which take place in the morning and two in the afternoon.
Contestants
All wines that comply with the definition of the International Code of the O.I.V. and are submitted by producing companies from any country are admitted to the competition.
