South Eastern Australia

The Geographical Indication South Eastern Australia was registered in the register of protected denominations on May 1, 1996, in response to a direction received by the Secretary of the Chairman of the Section of the Commission of Geographical Indications in accordance with Section 40Z of the WAC Act 1980. Between the Indian and Pacific Oceans, it offers dry riverbeds, forests, mountains, scrubland, red deserts, and finally, the cooler wine valleys of the southern coast.

The large size of the South Eastern Australia appellation allows for very diverse soils to coexist.
