General Information

The small family winery founded by Francisco Crusat, Adega Entre os Ríos, champions, from its vineyard in A Pobra do Caramiñal (A Coruña) and with the production of Vulpes Vulpes 2023, the recovery of the white raposo variety, almost extinct in these Galician lands.

Despite the location of its vineyard on soils belonging to the protected geographical indication Barbanza e Iria, Vulpes Vulpes 2023 is not marketed under this designation, although it rigorously adheres to the demanding quality standards that distinguish it. For its creation, Adega Entre os Ríos carefully selected the best raposo grapes (also known as albarín or branco lexítimo) from vines cultivated in clay and granite soils, ranging from 10 to over 100 years old. Once in the winery, the artisanal production process included maceration of the fruits prior to gentle pressing, and fermentation with natural yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The result is a light, fresh, and well-acidic single-varietal wine, with very limited production, ideal for those seeking a different and original Galician white wine.

The winery

Adega Entre os Ríos is a small winery with enotourism accommodation included, located in A Pobra do Caramiñal, on the northwestern shore of the Arousa estuary, in the province of A Coruña. Born from the entrepreneurial initiative of Francisco Crusat, The company initially started with a handful of pre-phylloxera albariño vineyards, from which its founder, Francisco Crusat, crafted wines for the exclusive enjoyment of his own family and friends.

The business grew in size, and today, Crusat's winery is one of the driving forces behind the recovery of the great vineyards that historically existed in this area of Galicia, belonging to the protected geographical indication of Barbanza e Iria. Among its creations, which are also sold in France, Germany, and the U.S., is Altares de Postmarcos, an excellent albariño, selected by the Peñín Guide as one of the 100 best white wines of Spain.
