Discover Viña Sastre Colección Privada 2024, an exclusive red wine crafted solely by Hermanos Sastre for Vinoselección. 100% Tempranillo, aged for 10 months, showcasing pure character, balance, and depth from the best of Ribera del Duero. A confident choice with personality that always impresses.

In a landscape where many reds seek easy applause, Viña Sastre Colección Privada 2024 prefers to follow its own path. That independence is, precisely, one of its greatest virtues. Born in Ribera del Duero and made entirely from Tempranillo, it bears the mark of Jesús María Sastre, a deep connoisseur of the house style and of a way of understanding wine based on consistency and respect for its origin. Its 10 months of crianza in barrel bring harmony, definition, and a polish that is perceived naturally from the first sip.

This is an exclusive edition created by Hermanos Sastre solely for Vinoselección, a detail that reinforces its unique character. The 2024 harvest completes a precise and honest production, where every step responds to a clear idea, without artifices. It is a red that speaks of craftsmanship, experience, and a straightforward way of expressing Ribera del Duero.

The winery, faithful to meticulous work in the vineyard and constant attention to detail, has established a recognisable identity within the denomination. Everything in Viña Sastre Colección Privada 2024 invites you to enjoy it at leisure, confident that you are holding a special label, designed for those who value wines with personality and seek a more intimate, personal expression of Ribera del Duero.

Consumption features

Pairing

Viña Sastre Colección Privada 2024 pairs very well with grilled lamb chops, beef sirloin or Iberian pork cheeks, because its profile of Tempranillo and its time in barrique integrate with juicy and flavoursome meats; it also works with matured cheese, Iberian cured sausages, or a legume stew with mushrooms, providing balance and enhancing each mouthful.

Service

The wood influence defines its character from the very first moment. Viña Sastre Colección Privada 2024 is best enjoyed in a large glass, allowing the 100% Tempranillo to gradually release its aromas. No decanting is necessary.

The winery

Bodegas Hermanos Sastre

Hermanos Sastre is one of the most outstanding wineries in the country. A family-run business that carries the heritage of the first winemakers of Ribera del Duero. Its origins date back three generations, when Severiano Sastre invested in the vineyards of what is now one of the most noble areas of the D.O. Ribera del Duero: La Horra (Burgos).

Ribera del Duero began building an exceptional viticultural heritage, and in 1957 participated in the creation of the Cooperativa Virgen de la Asunción. His dream of creating his own winery was realized by his son Rafael. Thus, in 1992, Bodegas Hermanos Sastre was born, already gaining the support of Rafael's sons, Pedro and Jesús.

Today, Hermanos Sastre (better known as Viña Sastre) stands as a model winery on the international scene, producing wines ranked among the best in the country, such as Pesus, Regina Vides, or Pago de Santa Cruz. Its vineyard, spanning nearly 50 hectares, has an average age of half a century; and in the vineyards surrounding the winery - in the style of Bordeaux 'châteaux' - they practice organic and biodynamic farming, in line with a philosophy of utmost respect for the 'terroir'.
