Enate Rosado has become a leading name in wines of this type, as borne out by the number of awards it has won: the previous vintage, 2020, obtained a silver medal at the Concours International des Cabernets (France). It comes from one of the great Somontano wineries, Enate, who have made an exclusive edition of their latest vintage for us: Enate Rosado Selección 2021.
The 2021 vintage yielded grapes with superb balance and refreshing acidity. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were harvested early in the morning, at the coolest time of the day. Inside the winery, they were left to macerate with their skins until the rosé must was bled off. The clean must was fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts.

Enate Rosado Selección 2021 (D.O. Somontano) is perfect with rice dishes such as seafood paella. It’s just as good with fish dishes like tuna hotpot.

Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, lovingly cultivated in ENATE’s vineyards until perfectly ripe, have developed their full potential in this single-varietal wine with an intense, highly fruity nose with prominent varietal aromas (blueberries, raspberries, pepper). Meaty and full on the attack. Its balanced acidity makes it a supple, lively wine. Magnificent development on the palate, with a long, tasty finish in which the varietal aromas stand out.
The winery
Viñedos y Crianzas del Alto Aragón, a winery from Somontano known for its range of Enate wines, has been a key player in the winemaking revolution experienced in this production area of the province of Huesca. Founded in 1991, its modern facilities located in Salas Bajas cover an area of over 12,000 square meters, where the constant nod to culture has become the hallmark of the winery. The enological direction of the company is led by the renowned Jesús Artajona.
