Terruños de Valpiedra Reserva 2018 is an exclusive Rioja produced from the finest lots of Finca Valpiedra Reserva, one of the great wines of the D.O.Ca. Rioja. A luxury born in one of Spain's most important terroirs: Finca Valpiedra, part of the Grandes Pagos de España association.
Thanks to the friendship that unites us with the Martínez Bujanda family, we can offer you exclusively Terruños de Valpiedra Reserva 2018. A great wine presented as “the essence of the landscape, bottled”, with origins at the spectacular Finca Valpiedra, one of the terroirs in Spain, located between Cenicero and Fuenmayor, in Rioja Alta.
A privilege to enjoy one of the most exclusive expressions of Rioja. It stems from a vintage of extraordinary quality, which yielded wines with great structure, elevated aging potential, good acidity and marked elegance, as this one. Furthermore, it is produced entirely from Tempranillo grapes.
The Martínez Bujanda family founded in 1999 one of the most renowned and admired bodegas for wine lovers. It is a wine estate situated between the municipalities of Cenicero and Fuenmayor that features an exceptional own vineyard alongside the winery, in the purest style of French châteaux. A unique estate perched on one of the most spectacular meanders of the Ebro river as it flows through La Rioja, covered by 80 hectares of vineyard with an average age close to 50 years. Due to its uniqueness and prestige, Finca Valpiedra forms part of the Grandes Pagos de España association.

Tasting notes
View
Bright and crystal-clear, high intensity, cherry with a cardinal-red rim.
Nose
Elegant and complex. Notes of tobacco and wood, with hints of blackberry, plum in liqueur and sloes. Strong retronasal with dairy notes.
Mouth
Smooth, with great volume from the outset. A fresh and elegant wine, with a very long finish. Aftertaste with spicy, fruity and woody notes on the retronasal.
After purchasing the vineyard in 1994, the Martínez Bujanda family built the winery on the same estate, in the 'château' style, and inaugurated Finca Valpiedra in 1999. Today, it is one of the most renowned wineries in Rioja. The facilities and vineyards occupy a single estate located between the municipalities of Cenicero and Fuenmayor, on one of the most spectacular meanders of the Ebro River as it passes through La Rioja, and it encompasses 80 hectares of vineyards with an average age of nearly 50 years.
The vineyards are divided into 15 plots distributed across three terraces of sandy-loam soils, with a high proportion of pebbles that give the plot its name. Due to its uniqueness, Finca Valpiedra is part of the prestigious Grandes Pagos de España association.
