Tábula Reserva 2016 comes from the famous ‘golden mile’ of Ribera del Duero, specifically from Olivares de Duero (Valladolid), where a hectare of vineyard is worth over €70,000. This prized terroir produces wines that are nothing short of divine. This Reserva has all the character of the great Riberas that are made from Tempranillo grapes and marked by the elegant predominance of French oak. We’re offering it to you at its peak after a long 20 months of ageing in barrels and vats and 7 years in the bottle. In short, an extraordinary red available exclusively from Vinoselección.

General Information

Tábula Reserva 2016 comes from Olivares de Duero (Valladolid), one of the most coveted areas of the D.O. It’s made entirely from Tempranillo grapes and is exclusive to Vinoselección. Age of vineyard: Over 40 years old, planted in calcareous-loam and calcareous-clay soils. Harvesting: Manual, in 15 kg crates. Bunches selected by hand on a sorting table, followed by mechanical destemming and hand sorting of grapes. Alcoholic fermentation: At a controlled temperature for 10–12 days in French oak vats. Malolactic fermentation: in French oak barrels. It was finally aged for 14 months in French oak barrels, 6 months in French oak vats and 7 years in the bottle.

Based in Olivares de Duero (Valladolid), Bodegas y Viñedos Tábula was established in 2002, at the height of the boom in the Ribera del Duero region. Its driving force was José Luis Muñoz Olmos, backed by a group of businesspeople from Castile and León. Two decades of experience have been enough to earn it recognition, not only in Spain but also abroad, thanks, among other reasons, to its perfect interpretation of the Tempranillo variety. It has 100 hectares of magnificent vineyards of its own and uses French oak barrels and vats for ageing. Its wines have been praised by critics, with high scores from The Wine Advocate (Parker points).

Tábula Reserva 2016 (D.O. Ribera del Duero) is ideal with roast pork or oxtail stew.

Ribera del Duero. Its winemaking facility is equipped with the latest technologies dedicated to wine production, as well as different containers of various capacities for winemaking (stainless steel, barrels, foudres, and vats).
