General Information

Tábula Mágnum 2019 is produced from vineyards over 35 years old, rooted in chalk-limestone and clay-limestone soils; the harvest is manual in 15 kg boxes, and the vineyard management aims to concentrate ripeness and preserve the expression of the fruit from old vines. The varietal composition is 100% Tempranillo.

The winemaking combines strict selection with traditional techniques: manual grape sorting on the table, mechanical destemming, and manual berry selection. Alcoholic fermentation took place in French oak vats for 10-12 days with temperature control; the malolactic fermentation was predominantly completed in French oak barrels (75%) and in French oak wood tanks (25%). The wine aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and another 12 months in French oak wood tanks, aiming for a balance between fruit and the nuances contributed by the ageing process.

Bodegas y Viñedos Tábula was established in 2002 in the “golden mile” of Ribera del Duero and quickly became one of the area’s references, receiving support from influential critics. Its location in Olivares de Duero, surrounded by emblematic producers, and a philosophy focused on quality and the typicity of old vines are clearly reflected in Tábula 2019, which offers a faithful and complex interpretation of the territory.

Tasting notes

Visual: Intense dark cherry red with a purple rim; the layer is very opaque and deep, with a slow, glyceric tears that indicate concentration.

Nose: Powerful and clear nose, showing clean and defined fruit — blackberry and raspberry — combined with balsamic and spicy nuances from ageing.

Palate: On the palate, it appears balanced and full-bodied, with a luscious sensation and soft tannins that provide structure and roundness.
