This fortified wine originates from Quinta das Carvalhas, the firm's best estate, 120 hectares of old vines of native varieties, planted on a hillside on the left bank of the Douro River. Nariz rica en aromas entre los que dominan notas de uva, frutos secos (nueces), miel, chocolate y sutiles matices de caramelo, especias y madera.
En boca resulta afrutado (conjugando frutas secas y mermelada de frutos rojos) y licoroso. De textura aterciopelada y suave.
