Directly from the heart of the Portuguese Douro Valley, from one of the most iconic estates in the region, comes Quinta das Carvalhas Reserva Tawny Porto, a velvety port aged 7 years in oak barrels.
Founded in 1756, Real Companhia Velha is the oldest wine company in Portugal and the producer of such select and high-quality ports as the Quinta das Carvalhas Reserva Tawny Porto that the Club brings you.
This fortified wine originates from Quinta das Carvalhas, the firm's best estate, 120 hectares of old vines of native varieties, planted on a hillside on the left bank of the Douro River. The high quality of its raw material and the meticulous production process imposed by Real Companhia Velha, distinguished by the addition of aguardiente to the must to maintain the natural sugars of the wine and a subsequent aging of 7 years in oak, make Quinta das Carvalhas Reserva Tawny Porto a truly exquisite port.
The complexity, nobility, and fruity and liqueur flavors presented by Quinta das Carvalhas Reserva Tawny Porto make it a wine from the D.O.C. Douro perfect for tasting alongside soft cheeses, chocolate, and nuts, especially walnuts.

Founded in 1756 by a royal charter issued by José I of Portugal, Real Companhia Velha is the oldest winemaking company in the Portuguese territory and a true emblem in the Douro and Porto appellations.
The company boasts a heritage of 540 hectares of vineyards, distributed across some of the finest estates, mostly located on the left bank of the Douro River. Quinta das Carvalhas is the crown jewel. From this 600-hectare property, 120 of which are occupied by old vines, some up to 100 years old, come the most renowned wines of the brand, sold in over 45 countries, ranging from their Ruby Reserva to the vintages, including the more classic range of 10 and 20-year-old Ports or Tawny.
