Olivier Leflaive Bourgogne Les Sétilles 2022 is an exceptional white wine from the AOC Burgundy, made entirely from the finest selection of chardonnay grapes sourced from a 35-hectare vineyard over 45 years old in Puligny-Montrachet. Served at the Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of England, this floral and fruity white wine, with great freshness and vivacity, captivates with its balance, finesse, and creaminess.

Olivier Leflaive Bourgogne Les Sétilles 2022 is a white wine originating from the vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet, in the heart of Burgundy, at over 250 meters above sea level. Made 100% from handpicked chardonnay grapes, which are promptly pressed upon arrival at the winery using a pneumatic press to preserve their aroma and flavor. 90% of the must, once fermented in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature, is aged in French oak barrels—12% of which are new—for 7-9 months before bottling.

Born from a family settled in Puligny-Montrachet since 1717, La Maison de négoce Olivier Leflaive et Frères was officially founded by Joseph Leflaive in the early 20th century. It was his grandson, Olivier Leflaive, who initiated a renewal of the project, driven by a significant North American importer. The new winery specializes in white wines, which make up 85% of its catalog, and they produce wines under about 65 appellations across Burgundy. They own over 20 hectares of vineyards spread across some of the most prestigious plots in the region, such as Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières, Meursault 1er Cru Blagny Sous le Dos d’Âne.

This chardonnay from the AOC Bourgogne can be enjoyed now or kept in the cellar for several years. Olivier Leflaive Bourgogne Les Sétilles 2022 is the perfect pairing for all kinds of appetizers, cured meats, goat cheeses, seafood, grilled fish, and desserts based on chocolate or fruit tarts.

Tasting notes

Intense straw yellow color, with clear reflections, clean and bright.

On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of white flowers enriched with notes of peach, toasted almonds, and lemon zest.

On the palate, it is broad and warm, lively, unctuous, and creamy, with a lively and seductive aftertaste.
