Le Naturel Lakar 2020 originates from a heroic vineyard planted in 1920 on a steep hillside in the Yerri Valley. Made with garnacha and other minority varieties, this organic red wine reflects the purity of its terroir and the minimal intervention philosophy of Bodegas Aroa. Only 1,810 bottles of this red wine, which combines freshness, complexity, and authenticity, have been produced.

Le Naturel Lakar 2020 comes from a small plot of just 0.8 hectares located in Lakar, in the heart of the Yerri Valley (Navarra). Planted in 1920 on clay-limestone soils and with a slope of up to 30%, this vineyard coexists with olive trees, fig trees, and fruit trees, in a biodiverse and organically cultivated environment. The main variety is garnacha, accompanied by small vines of other red and white varieties. The work in the vineyard is completely manual, respecting the rhythms of nature.
The harvest was carried out manually on September 25. Vinification was done with a short and static maceration of 9 days, with light pump-overs. Pressing was very gentle, and alcoholic and malolactic fermentation took place in a small concrete tank. 90% of the wine was aged for 12 months in a 1,200-liter Austrian oak foudre, while the remaining 10% stayed in the tank before the final blend. No sulfites were added, and it was unfiltered, following the natural philosophy of the Le Naturel range.

Le Naturel Lakar es un vino de color cereza picota intenso, con capa alta y muy vivaz. Sorprende por su gran intensidad, poco habitual en la variedad garnacha. Buen brillo en copa y lágrimas de gran densidad a copa movida. En nariz ofrece una explosión inicial de frutos rojos, que van evolucionando hacia notas más maduras de fruta negra. Destacan también tonos lácticos originados durante su fermentación maloláctica. Aparecen notas de crema, cacao y vainilla de su estancia en roble sin tostar. Finalmente se perciben matices frescos de monte bajo y plantas aromáticas, resultado de la integración del viñedo de Lakar en su entorno. Resulta una nariz muy mineral y de extrema complejidad, capaz de reflejar multitud de matices que muestran la esencia y la diversidad de un enclave mágico. En la fase gustativa destaca por su carácter envolvente y su amable entrada, atributos propios de la variedad garnacha. Gran densidad y estructura otorgadas por las extremas condiciones de su cultivo y la edad del viñedo, que inducen un vigor muy moderado en la planta. Son producciones muy pequeñas, pero de uvas que aglutinan toda la esencia de un viñedo heroico. Tiene una acidez elegante, que equilibra y acompaña la gran estructura del vino durante todo su paso por boca, reflejando fielmente ese frescor característico varietal. Es un vino con una altísima capacidad de guarda que, al igual que la viña que lo origina, transmite equilibrio y una gran complejidad.
At Aroa Bodegas, the entire project is focused on sustainable management and the use of natural resources with the least impact on the environment and surroundings. Located in El Valle de Yerri, sheltered by the Urbasa and Andía mountain ranges, it is one of the highest areas in Navarra, standing out for its freshness and the influence that the proximity of the Cantabrian Sea brings to its climate. Aroa wines are organic and are crafted through an artisanal process, with the aim of expressing the essence of the place where they are born, without additives or alterations. To achieve the best results, each plot and variety is harvested separately. It has 25 hectares of its own vineyards and an additional 26 hectares under control.
