Maruxa Godello 2025 is a single-varietal Godello crafted from one of the coldest harvests of the last decade in the D.O. Valdeorras, which allowed for full alcoholic ripeness with good pH and acidity balance. The grapes come from vineyards situated on terraces owned by the winery in Éntoma - Regueirón, O Follo, Valdemioto and Granilla - along with contributions from local viticulturists from the same village.
Éntoma is located in the southern part of Valdeorras, near the Galir and Sil rivers. In the Galir Valley, calcareous-loam soils with a southern orientation predominate, promoting optimal ripening. Conversely, plots close to the Sil River feature more clayey soils with rounded stones and a northern orientation, which result in slower ripening fruit with floral profiles and a refined character.
The harvest was carried out manually in 15 kg boxes. After a cold maceration of 48 hours, the destemming was performed without crushing. Fermentation took place with indigenous yeasts. Maruxa Godello 2025 was aged for three months on its lees in stainless steel tanks.
